Download the latest files for your CEC mp4 player

Warning!! Please make sure the firmware you are downloading matches your machine model, otherwise, machine will not work!!

To update the firmware on your mp4 player, put the *.bin file into the sys folder. Then, with the USB port plugged, turn on the mp4, go to the setup menu, click on upgrade and wait for it to finish.

Note: We are not responsible if user upgrades the firmware and results in a non-functioning unit. Service charge will apply to fix any non-functioning unit "damaged" by firmware upgrade.

English/Chinese Hi-X8 firmware

Note: we have not tested this firmware and we do not know if there is any problem with this firmware.

Note: Make sure you resize the video to 280x220 by typing 280x220 into the box, set the frame rate to anything less than 25fps (use 20fps if in doubt) and change the Rate Mode to CBR as circled in red above. (Anything larger than 280x220 will not play; VBR or >25fps will cause the video to be out of sync with the sound.)
